By accessing or using Mentis AI ("the Service"), operated at mentisai.ai, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Mentis AI is an AI-powered due diligence assistant designed for venture capital analysts. The Service provides document analysis, AI-generated insights, and research capabilities. Features include:

• Document upload and processing (PDF, spreadsheets, presentations, and other formats)
• AI-powered question answering and analysis of uploaded documents
• Google Drive integration for importing documents
• Notion integration for importing content
• AI-generated investment memo creation

3. User Accounts

You may sign in using Google OAuth. By signing in, you authorize us to access your Google profile information (name, email, profile picture) and, if granted, your Google Drive files in read-only mode. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Use the Service to store or transmit malicious code

5. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to content you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant Mentis AI a limited license to process, analyze, and store your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. AI-generated outputs (such as memos and analysis) are provided for your use, but the underlying AI models and Service technology remain the property of Mentis AI.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including Google Drive, Notion, and AI model providers (Anthropic and OpenAI). Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third-party terms of service. Mentis AI is not responsible for the availability or conduct of third-party services.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. AI-generated content is for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional financial, legal, or investment advice. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of any analysis or output produced by the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mentis AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill arising out of your use of the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
